Why is the selector on my foot bath not responding?

Modified on Tue, 25 Aug at 8:02 AM

If the selector or switch does not seem to do anything, the issue is often a poor power connection, a wet control area or a setting that was not fully engaged. The appliance should only be operated with dry hands and a dry control area.

Checks to carry out

  1. Unplug the foot bath and dry the outside of the control area.
  2. Plug it back in and move the selector through each position slowly and firmly, without forcing it.
  3. Check that water has not splashed onto the switch or around the control panel.
  4. Try a different socket if the cable and plug are in good condition.

If the appliance works in one position but not another, that suggests the selector may be worn or not making contact properly. If nothing happens at all, the power supply may need checking.

When to stop

Stop using the appliance if the switch feels loose, sticks, sparks, or if the housing becomes warm around the controls. Never continue if water has entered the control area.

Next step

  1. Let the unit dry fully before testing again.
  2. Use only the functions described in the supplied instructions.
  3. If the selector still does not respond, contact the retailer or store where the foot bath was purchased.
