If the foot bath switches on but the water stays cool, start with the power supply, the fill level and the selected setting. In many cases the cause is simple, but because this is a mains-powered appliance you should stop using it straight away if you notice a loose cord, smell, visible damage or any water near the plug.
What to check first
- Unplug the foot bath and let it cool for a few minutes.
- Check that the appliance is filled to the level shown in the supplied instructions, if a minimum level is required. Too little water can stop heating from working properly.
- Plug it directly into a suitable wall socket, not through an extension lead if you can avoid it.
- Set the temperature or heat function again and wait a few minutes. Some units need time to warm the water gradually.
If the appliance starts heating after you reset the setting, the issue was likely due to the previous selection or an unstable supply. If it still remains cold, continue with the next check.
Look for a blocked or dirty sensor area
- Unplug the foot bath.
- Empty it completely and inspect the water area for scale, soap residue or debris.
- Clean only the accessible surfaces with a soft cloth and mild detergent, then rinse and dry thoroughly.
- Refill with clean water and test again.
If heating still does not begin, stop using the product. Do not open the housing or attempt any repair. If the issue remains unresolved or you are unsure whether the appliance is safe to use, contact the retailer or store where it was purchased.
