Why is my foot bath leaking water?

If water is escaping from the foot bath, stop using it straight away and unplug it. The supplied instructions state that the appliance should not be used if it leaks, because water near electrical parts can create a shock hazard.

What to do now

1. Switch off the appliance and remove the plug from the socket.
2. Empty the bath carefully and place it on a dry surface.
3. Check whether the leak came from overfilling, splashing over the edge, or water near the selector switch.
4. Inspect the outside of the housing for cracks, gaps or loose parts.

Small spills from overfilling can be caused by using too much water or moving your feet too vigorously in the bath. A persistent leak, however, usually points to damage or a seal problem.

Do not continue testing

Do not reconnect the appliance if water has reached the plug, cord, controls or underside of the unit. Also stop using it if the housing is cracked, distorted or if the cable is damaged.
