If the cord twists, catches or feels awkward while you style, the issue is usually the way the appliance is being held or stored. Stop using it if the cord is damaged, the plug feels loose or the cable gets warm.
1. Check how the cord is moving
- Let the appliance cool and place it on a flat surface.
- Unwind the cord fully before the next use.
A tightly coiled cord can pull the appliance around and make styling harder.
2. Avoid forcing the cord around your hand
- Hold the air styler so the cord hangs freely.
- Change position gradually when styling different sections.
If the cord is repeatedly snagging, this can put strain on the plug and the handle connection.
3. Inspect the cord and storage method
- Check for knots, twists or signs of wear along the cable.
- Store the cord loosely after the appliance has cooled.
Some models have a rotating cord connection or storage hook. If your model includes one, use it only as intended and do not wrap the cord tightly around the body.
4. Stop if the cable feels unsafe
- If the cord becomes hot, frayed or intermittently loses power, unplug the appliance.
- Do not keep using it.
If the problem remains unresolved, contact the retailer or store where it was purchased.
