Why does my air styler need cleaning so often?

If your air styler seems to need cleaning again soon after use, the airflow path may be collecting dust, hair or product residue quickly. Stop using the appliance if cleaning does not improve performance, if the unit overheats or if you spot damage to the vents or cord.

1. Check what is building up fastest

1. Switch off, unplug and let the appliance cool.
2. Inspect the inlet, brush and nozzle for hair, fluff or styling product.

If the build-up is mainly on the attachment, this usually points to heavy product use or insufficient routine cleaning.

2. Clean the visible parts after each use

1. Remove loose debris with a soft dry cloth or brush.
2. Make sure all parts are fully dry before storing them.

Regular light cleaning is usually easier and safer than waiting for a heavy build-up to form.

3. Review how the appliance is being used

1. Avoid using excessive hair oil, spray or mousse immediately before styling.
2. Keep the air inlet clear while the appliance is running.

Styling products and blocked airflow can both increase residue more quickly. If the problem improves after changing your routine, keep that approach.

4. Stop if dirt returns unusually quickly

1. If the appliance seems to collect debris faster than expected even with careful use, stop and inspect it.
2. Do not continue if the casing or vents appear damaged.
