Why is my foot bath taking a long time to reach a comfortable temperature?

Modified on Tue, 25 Aug at 8:42 AM

If the bath feels slow to warm, it may be because it is designed to maintain temperature rather than heat cold water quickly. The supplied instructions for one model say to start with warm water if you want a warm foot bath.

Check the starting conditions

  1. Turn the unit off and unplug it.
  2. Drain and refill it with warm water.
  3. Set it on a flat, stable surface away from cold draughts.

Expected result: the water should feel comfortable sooner.

Check the selected function

  1. Reconnect the plug and choose the correct mode for warming or maintaining temperature.
  2. Wait a short while and judge the result against the instructions for your model.
  3. Do not expect rapid heating unless the manual states that the bath can do this.

Expected result: the unit should match the performance described by the instructions.

When to stop using it

Stop using the product if the cable, plug or selector appears damaged, or if the bath becomes unusually hot while still not heating properly. Do not continue using it if water has splashed into the controls. If the issue remains unresolved, contact the retailer or store where it was purchased.
