Why does the fondue pot stick or clean badly after use?

Modified on Thu, 20 Aug at 3:24 PM

Start by soaking and cleaning the removable parts after the appliance has cooled, using warm water and a mild detergent if needed. If your model has a non-stick or ceramic-coated pan, avoid abrasive pads and harsh cleaners, because they can damage the surface.

What to check

  1. Let the appliance cool fully. Never clean it while it is still hot.
  2. Remove detachable parts where applicable. Take off the cord or removable parts only after unplugging the appliance.
  3. Use gentle cleaning methods. Clean with a soft cloth, sponge, or approved dishwasher-safe parts where your model allows it.
  4. Inspect the coating. If food keeps sticking, check whether the surface has scratches or worn areas.

Expected result: Food residue should come away more easily, and the cooking surface should remain smooth and easy to clean.

When to stop: Stop using abrasive tools if the coating looks scratched, peeling, or damaged.

When to contact support: Contact support if the coating is visibly damaged, if removable parts no longer fit properly, or if cleaning instructions in the product manual do not match the parts you received. Do not use chemicals or metal tools that could damage the surface.
