If the power light is on but the grill pan does not warm up, the appliance may have power but not be receiving heat from the thermostat or heating circuit. Stop using it at once if you notice a burning smell, sparking or damage to the detachable cord, plug or control unit.
Check the basic supply
- Confirm the wall socket is working by testing another device.
- Check that the thermostat is set above the lowest setting.
- If your model has a detachable cord, reseat it carefully and make sure it is fully inserted.
If the light stays on but there is no heat, the supply is present but the heating function is not starting. That can indicate a control issue, a loose connection or an internal fault. Do not open the appliance or try to bypass any safety device.
When to stop using it
Stop using the product if the base, cord or thermostat area feels hotter than normal, if the light flickers, or if the appliance works only when the lead is held in a certain position. If the issue remains unresolved or safe use is uncertain, contact the retailer or store where it was purchased.
