If a cordless shaver has been stored for a while, the battery may need a longer charge before it behaves normally again. That does not always mean the product is faulty, but it is worth checking the charging setup and the condition of the unit first.
- Charge the shaver exactly as instructed. Use the original charger, USB cable or dock supplied with the product and leave it connected for the full charge time.
- Check for charging indication. If the light or display changes as expected, the battery is probably accepting charge and may just need time to recover.
- Inspect the battery contacts and cable. Dust or a poor fit can prevent a proper charge after storage. Clean only the accessible parts with a dry cloth.
- Allow the battery to wake up. A battery that has been left unused may perform better after one or two full charge cycles.
- Stop if the unit behaves unsafely. Heat, smell, swelling, damage or moisture around the battery area are not normal.
The expected result is a normal charge time and restored running time after storage. If the battery still does not recover, or if the shaver becomes hot, noisy or unreliable while charging, stop using it. Do not open the battery compartment or attempt a battery replacement yourself. If the issue remains unresolved, contact the retailer or store where the product was purchased.
