If your cordless shaver is not charging properly, the problem may be a loose connection, a poor socket, a dirty charging point or a battery that is no longer holding charge. Start with simple checks before assuming the battery has failed.
Check the charger and connection
- Use the supplied charging method and make sure the plug, cable or dock is seated correctly.
- Try a different wall socket if the charger appears inactive.
- Look for any charging light or indicator, if the model has one.
If the indicator responds, power is probably reaching the appliance.
Inspect the charging contacts
- Switch the shaver off.
- Wipe the charging contacts gently with a dry cloth if they appear dusty or discoloured.
- Check that the appliance is correctly positioned on the charger or connected cable.
If charging improves after cleaning the contacts, poor contact was likely the issue.
Know when to stop
- Stop using the appliance if the charger, plug or cable feels warm, smells unusual, or shows damage.
- Do not use the shaver if charging causes sparks, loud buzzing or intermittent power.
- If the battery still will not charge after these checks, contact the retailer or store where the product was purchased.
To reduce charging problems, keep the charging area dry and store the appliance away from hair and dust buildup.
