Why does my parasol need to be stored in the protection bag?

The protection bag helps keep the parasol cleaner and reduces wear while it is stored, but it should only be fitted when the parasol is fully closed and dry. If the bag is fitted over a damp canopy, dirt and moisture can build up, so stop storing it that way.

Check the parasol before storing it

1. Close the parasol fully and make sure the crank has returned the canopy to its closed position.
2. Confirm that the fabric is dry before fitting the bag.
3. Look for trapped ties, straps or loose edges that could be caught in storage.

If the parasol stores neatly once dry and closed, the bag is doing its job as intended.

Check the storage conditions

1. Store the parasol in a dry place where it will not be pressed or bent.
2. Avoid leaving it standing unsecured in strong wind when not in use.
3. Make sure the bag is not stretched so tightly that it distorts the frame.

Proper storage helps reduce fading, dirt and unnecessary strain on the canopy.

Stop using it if storage causes damage

Stop using the parasol if the bag is torn, the canopy is damaged during storage, or the frame is bent by pressure. Do not force the product into the bag. If the issue remains unresolved or safe use is uncertain, contact the retailer or store where the parasol was purchased.
