If the battery indicator on your shaver is not behaving as expected, the battery may be low, the appliance may not be charging properly, or the indicator may simply need another full charge cycle before it settles. Start with the basics and do not rely on the display alone if the appliance also feels weak.
Check the charge cycle
- Charge the shaver fully using the supplied charging method.
- Disconnect it and test whether the indicator changes after a short period of use.
- Repeat once more after another full charge if the appliance is new.
If the indicator becomes more consistent after full charging, the battery was likely not yet fully conditioned.
Look for charging issues
- Check the plug, cable, dock or USB lead, depending on the model.
- Make sure the contacts are clean and dry.
- Try a different socket if the charger seems inactive.
If the indicator responds only when the connection is adjusted, contact or power supply issues may be affecting charging.
When to stop
- Stop using the appliance if the indicator flashes abnormally together with heat, smell or cut-outs.
- Also stop if the battery compartment, charger or cord shows visible damage.
- If the problem remains unresolved or safe use is uncertain, contact the retailer or store where the product was purchased.
A battery indicator can help, but the shaving result and runtime are also useful signs of how well the appliance is working.
