Base tiles that do not sit flat can make the parasol lean or shift, even if the pole itself looks straight. Stop using the parasol if one tile rocks, lifts or appears cracked, because the support may fail under load.
- Remove each tile and check the ground for stones, uneven slabs or debris. The expected result is a cleaner, flatter surface for the weights to rest on.
- Place the tiles back one by one and confirm that each one sits flush. If a tile only settles when pressure is applied, the surface underneath may still be uneven.
- Check the tiles for visible damage, warping or missing sections. If any tile is damaged, do not continue using the parasol until the base is corrected.
- After reassembly, gently test the base by nudging it from different sides. The expected result is minimal movement and no rocking.
Keep the base on firm, level ground and recheck it after the parasol has been moved. If the tiles still do not sit flat or safe use is uncertain, contact the retailer or store where the product was purchased.
