Why is my trimmer cutting length not accurate?

If the cutting length does not seem to match what you selected, the comb attachment or length control may not be set correctly. This can happen when the guide is not fully engaged or when hair build-up changes the way the attachment sits.

1. Switch the appliance off and check that the comb attachment is fully clipped on.
2. Inspect the cutting length control and confirm it is set to the length you intended before switching the trimmer on again.
3. Clean hair from the blade area so the guide can sit flat.
4. Test the trimmer on a small area first, especially when moving to a shorter setting.
5. If the selected length still does not match the result, stop using the product.

Expected result: the trim should be closer to the length selected on the control or guide. If the difference remains large after cleaning and refitting, the attachment or blade system may not be working correctly. Do not keep trimming at shorter settings if the result is unpredictable.
