Why does my foot bath feel unstable on the floor?

A foot bath should sit flat and stable during use. If it rocks, slides or feels uneven, the setup may be the problem, or one of the feet or base points may not be sitting correctly. The instructions also say the appliance should be used on a flat, stable surface with space around it.

Checks to make

1. Unplug the appliance and empty it before moving it.
2. Place it on a level floor, not on a towel, rug or soft mat.
3. Check whether any feet, base edges or moulded supports are bent, missing or not touching the floor.
4. Refill and test only when the unit is steady and dry.

If the bath stops wobbling once it is moved to a firmer surface, the issue was likely positioning. If it still moves or looks distorted, there may be physical damage.

When to stop

Stop using it if the appliance rocks enough to shift under your feet, if the housing is cracked, or if the controls are exposed to water because of poor positioning. Do not use an unstable foot bath with water in it.
