Why does my foot bath switch off by itself?

If your foot bath turns off unexpectedly, it may be reacting to overheating, a poor power connection, or a safety cut-out. On some related heated appliances, the product manual also warns that safety cut-outs can require the unit to cool down before it works again.

First-line checks

1. Turn the appliance off, unplug it and let it cool fully.
2. Check that the plug is fully inserted into a working socket.
3. Make sure the water level is correct and the selector is not covered by splashed water.
4. Try the appliance again without moving it during use.

If the unit cuts out only after a period of use, heat build-up or overfilling may be involved. If it switches off immediately, the socket, cable or internal control may be at fault.

Stop using the foot bath if the cable, plug or housing becomes hot, if the appliance leaks, or if it repeatedly cuts out and restarts. That pattern can indicate unsafe operation.
