If the ring or lid no longer fits properly after cleaning, the parts may not be seated correctly or residue may be preventing a snug fit. Check the parts once they are completely dry and cool. If any part is bent, cracked or no longer sits securely, stop using the fondue and contact the retailer where it was purchased.
1. Dry all parts fully
- Wash only the detachable parts that are meant to be cleaned.
- Dry the ring, lid and pot completely before refitting them.
- Check for water trapped in edges or joins.
Moisture can make parts sit unevenly.
2. Refit the parts in the correct order
- Place the pot back in the base first.
- Fit the ring evenly.
- Fit the lid, if your model has one, without forcing it.
Parts should sit naturally, not under pressure.
3. Look for distortion or trapped debris
- Inspect the edges for dried food, limescale or warping.
- Remove any debris gently with a soft cloth.
- If the fit still seems wrong, stop using the appliance.
Even a small bend or build-up can stop the parts from aligning correctly.
4. Stop use if the fit is unstable
- Do not force the ring or lid into position.
- Do not use the appliance if parts rock or lift during use.
- Ask the retailer about the next steps if you are unsure.
If the issue remains unresolved or safe use is uncertain, contact the retailer or store where the product was purchased.
