Why does my foot bath have a weak massage effect?

Modified on Tue, 25 Aug at 8:02 AM

If the massage feels gentler than expected, the bath may be operating normally but at a lower intensity, or the water level may be affecting how strongly you feel the movement. On models with multiple functions, heat, vibration and bubble action can be selected separately.

Useful checks

  1. Confirm the massage or vibration function is switched on, not just heating.
  2. Try the bath with a slightly lower water level, within the recommended range.
  3. Place it on a firm, level surface.
  4. Compare the feeling after a short run, as the sensation can vary with water movement and foot position.

A weak sensation does not always mean the product is faulty. However, if the massage is suddenly much weaker than before, a blockage, setting issue or internal fault may be involved.

When to stop

Stop using the appliance if the massage effect is accompanied by noise, leakage, excessive vibration or a burning smell. Those signs point to a possible fault or unsafe use.

Next step

  1. Unplug the bath and let it cool.
  2. Test again with the correct fill level and setting.
  3. If the massage remains unusually weak, contact the retailer or store where it was purchased.
