Why is the filter spout in my kettle blocked or dripping slowly?

If the pour from your kettle has become weak or slow, the filter spout may be partly blocked with limescale or small particles. Some models in this range have a filter spout, so a simple clean may restore normal flow as long as there is no damage to the spout or lid area.

1. Unplug the kettle and let it cool fully. Expected result: it is safe to inspect the spout and filter.
2. Pour out the remaining water and look through the spout area. Expected result: water should run freely without obvious debris. If the spout is cracked, damaged or loose, stop using the kettle.
3. Check for limescale or trapped particles on the filter. Expected result: the filter is not heavily clogged. Clean it gently according to the care instructions supplied with the product.
4. Refill the kettle and test the pour over a sink. Expected result: the water comes out in a smooth stream. If the flow is still very slow, the blockage may be deeper.
5. If the pour remains poor after cleaning, stop using the kettle and contact the retailer or store where it was purchased.
