Why does my coffee maker still drip after brewing has finished?

A few late drips after brewing can be normal, but continuous dripping usually points to a full basket, a blocked outlet or the jug not being positioned correctly. Because the water is hot, avoid moving the machine while it is still dripping.

1. Wait for the brew cycle to finish

1. Allow the machine to complete its cycle fully.
2. Do not remove the jug too early.

Expected result: dripping should slow to a stop once the cycle is finished. A short tail of drips is usually normal.

2. Check the jug alignment

1. Make sure the jug sits directly under the outlet.
2. Confirm the jug is not knocked forward or too far back.

Expected result: coffee should land in the jug rather than drip onto the plate or worktop.

3. Inspect the basket and outlet

1. Clean any residue from the filter area once the appliance is cool.
2. Check whether grounds are blocking the outlet.

Expected result: flow should stop cleanly after the brew cycle. If the outlet stays blocked, do not force it.

Stop using the product immediately if hot liquid is reaching the controls, the base or the mains lead. If the issue remains unresolved, contact the retailer or store where the coffee maker was purchased.
