Why is the coffee too slow to come through?

Modified on Thu, 20 Aug at 3:59 PM

If the brew is very slow, the coffee dose may be too fine or too tightly packed, or the appliance may need descaling. Do not force the filter or use sharp tools inside the appliance.

  1. Check the coffee grind and dose. Use a normal amount of coffee and avoid overpacking the filter.
  2. Check for blockage. Rinse the filter and removable parts after the appliance has cooled.
  3. Flush with water only. If the manual allows it, run fresh water through the machine to check flow.
  4. Consider limescale. If the water flow is still slow, the appliance may need descaling following the manual.

Expected result: Water should pass through at a steady pace.

When to stop: Stop if the machine starts to back up, leak, or stop mid-cycle.

When to contact support: Contact support if flow remains slow after cleaning and a water-only flush.
