Why does my coffee maker make no coffee even though it is on?

Modified on Thu, 20 Aug at 3:59 PM

If the appliance powers on but no coffee comes through, the water path, filter area, or brew position may be blocked or not assembled correctly. Do not force parts into place.

  1. Check the water tank. Make sure there is enough water in the tank for the selected brew.
  2. Check the filter and coffee grounds. Confirm the filter is fitted correctly and the coffee is not packed too tightly.
  3. Check the jug position. Make sure the jug is seated correctly under the filter, where applicable.
  4. Run a clean water cycle. Use fresh water only, with no coffee, to see whether water flows normally.

Expected result: Water flows through the machine and collects in the jug or cup.

When to stop: Stop if water leaks from an unexpected place, or if the appliance makes unusual grinding, popping, or burning sounds.

When to contact support: Contact support if a clean water cycle does not restore normal flow.
