How do I clean my cake maker safely after use?

Modified on Thu, 20 Aug at 2:57 PM

Clean the appliance only after it has cooled completely, and never immerse the body, cord or plug in water.

  1. Unplug the appliance and wait until all hot surfaces are fully cool.
  2. Wipe the plates gently with a soft, damp cloth or soft sponge.
  3. Remove crumbs and baked-on residue carefully without using sharp objects.
  4. Dry all surfaces thoroughly before storing the appliance.
  5. Check that the cord is dry and undamaged before the next use.

Expected result: the plates should be free from loose residue and the appliance should be dry before storage.

When to stop: stop cleaning if you see damage to the non-stick surface or if water has entered the appliance.

When to contact support: contact support if residue cannot be removed safely, or if the surface coating is lifting or scratched.
