Why does my shaver need oiling and how should I do it?

Some shavers work better when the blades are kept lightly oiled. Oiling can reduce friction, help the motor run more smoothly and support a cleaner cut, but it should be done carefully and only as part of normal maintenance.

1. Switch the shaver off and remove any loose hairs from the head with the cleaning brush.
2. Place one or two small drops of the supplied oil between the blades, if the product instructions include oiling for your model.
3. Run the appliance briefly so the oil spreads evenly, then wipe away any excess with a soft cloth.
4. Check that no oil has entered the switch, charging area or cable connection.
5. Use only a small amount. Too much oil can attract hair and make cleaning harder.

Expected result: the blades should move more freely and the shaver should cut with less resistance. If oiling does not improve the feel of the cut, or if the head remains noisy or uneven, stop using the product. Do not try to dismantle the blade assembly.
