If the blender slips or is hard to control, the usual cause is a bowl that is too shallow, wet on the outside or not stable on the worktop. A secure grip and a suitable container make a big difference, but if the appliance is damaged or you cannot hold it safely, stop using it.
- Use a stable container with enough depth for the blade area to stay covered. Expected result: the blender should remain more stable with less sideways movement. If the bowl is too small, move to a deeper container.
- Dry the outside of the container and your hands before blending. Expected result: the appliance should feel easier to control. If the bowl still slides, place it on a non-slip surface.
- Keep one hand steady on the motor unit and blend slowly instead of forcing the appliance through the food. Expected result: the stick should stay centred and not twist unexpectedly. If it keeps moving sharply, stop and check the load.
- Reduce the quantity of food if the mixture is too dense. Expected result: a lighter load should improve control. If the mixture is very thick, the appliance can pull to one side.
- Inspect the handle, stick and bowl for cracks, looseness or warping. Expected result: the appliance should feel firm in the hand and sit securely in the bowl. If not, stop using it.
Do not use the blender if you cannot keep a safe grip, if the container is unstable or if the appliance is damaged. If the problem remains unresolved, contact the retailer or store where the product was purchased.
