Why does my hand blender detach or feel loose while I use it?

If the detachable stick feels loose, it may not have been assembled fully or the connection may be worn. Stop using the hand blender immediately if the attachment moves unexpectedly, because that can expose the user to sharp blades and splashes.

1. Unplug the appliance and separate the stick from the motor unit. Check both connection points for food residue or damage. Expected result: the parts are clean and align neatly.
2. Refit the detachable stick according to the shape of the connector. It should sit firmly without needing force. Expected result: the attachment locks or feels secure in the hand.
3. Test gently over a bowl of suitable ingredients. If the stick stays firm, the connection was likely only not seated properly. Expected result: no twisting, slipping or unusual clicking.
4. Inspect the attachment area again if it loosens during use. Wear or a cracked connector can make the fit unreliable. Expected result: no visible damage and no movement between the parts.
5. If the stick remains loose or detaches again, stop using the appliance and contact the retailer or store where it was purchased.

Do not use the hand blender one-handed near hot liquids if the shaft is not secure. Keep the appliance clean and dry before fitting accessories.
