It can be normal for the heater fan to continue briefly after shutdown, because the appliance may use that time to cool itself down. If it keeps running for much longer than expected, or if you hear the motor continue irregularly, treat it as a fault and stop using it.
- Switch the heater off once and wait briefly. Expected result: the fan continues only for a short cooling period and then stops. If it does not, continue.
- Unplug the appliance and observe whether the sound stops fully. Expected result: there is no movement once power is removed. If the fan still appears active, do not keep the appliance connected.
- Check whether the control is stuck or whether the unit was switched to a mode that keeps the fan active. Expected result: the controls move normally and the appliance responds once. If the switch feels unreliable, stop using it.
- Inspect for heat damage, loose parts or a smell of burning after shutdown. Expected result: no damage or odour is present. If there is, stop using the product immediately.
- If the fan continues to run unexpectedly after power-off, stop using the heater and contact the retailer or store where it was purchased. Do not unplug and replug repeatedly as a workaround.
