Why does my fan keep stopping and starting during use?

If your fan runs for a while and then stops, or seems to cycle on and off, it may be reacting to overheating, a poor power connection or a control setting that is not stable. This is worth checking promptly, because repeated stopping can indicate a safety shutdown rather than normal operation. If the behaviour continues after the steps below, stop using the product and contact the retailer where it was purchased.

Check the power and outlet

1. Unplug the fan and reconnect it securely.
2. Try another socket that you know works.
3. Avoid extension leads during testing, if possible.

Allow for overheat protection
