Why does my air cooler keep beeping or making control sounds?

Beeping or repeated control sounds can come from normal button feedback, an active timer or a mode change on the control panel. If the sound is not expected, check the selected settings first, because some models include timer, sleep and mute functions that change how the unit behaves.

1. Check whether a timer is active. If the appliance is set to stop automatically after a chosen period, the sound may be related to the programmed function. Cancel the timer and see whether the beeping stops.
2. Try the mute function if your model has one. On some models, this turns off the appliance sounds without changing the airflow.
3. Confirm that the water tank is not full and that the reservoir is filled or emptied correctly according to the current mode. A blinking water full indicator on some models can accompany a sound alert.
4. Switch the unit off and back on once, then test the controls one at a time. If a specific button always causes the same alarm-like sound, note which function triggers it.
5. If the beeping continues when no timer, alert or control is active, stop using the cooler and contact the retailer or store where it was purchased.

Stop using the appliance if the sound is joined by overheating, a hot plug, a water leak or a smell of burning. Do not cover the control panel or try to silence a repeated safety alert by opening the unit.
