Why is my coffee grinder machine not grinding beans?

Modified on Mon, 24 Aug at 6:57 PM

If the grinder does not seem to start, the issue may be with the settings, the bean quantity or the appliance not being ready to brew. Because this model combines grinding and brewing, it is important to check the lid, control settings and ingredient levels before assuming a fault. If the appliance jams, smells hot or runs with a damaged lid, stop using it immediately.

  1. Check that the appliance is plugged in and switched on. Expected result: the display or indicator should respond when power is present.
  2. Confirm that there are beans in the hopper and that they are not bridging into a blockage. Expected result: beans should fall freely towards the grinding path.
  3. Check the selected coffee quantity and strength settings. Expected result: the machine should use the chosen amount when the settings are correct.
  4. Make sure the lid and removable parts are fitted properly. Expected result: the grinder should only run when the appliance is fully assembled.
  5. Clean away old grounds and dust from the accessible removable parts. Expected result: the grinding path should no longer be obstructed by residue.

Stop using the product if the grinder makes a grinding, scraping or burning smell, or if the lid will not close properly. If the issue remains unresolved or safe use is uncertain, contact the retailer or store where the product was purchased.
