Why does my decorative lamp need cleaning more often than expected?

Decorative lamps often collect dust quickly, especially if they are placed near shelves, soft furnishings or busy walkways. Regular gentle cleaning helps the lamp look brighter and reduces the chance of dust marks affecting the light output. How to clean it safely

1. Switch the lamp off and unplug it.
2. Let it cool before cleaning.
3. Wipe the glass and exterior with a soft dry cloth.
4. If needed, use a barely damp cloth on the outside only, then dry immediately.
5. Check that the lamp is completely dry before reconnecting it.

What to observe

If the lamp looks clearer after cleaning, dust was the likely cause. If there are stubborn marks, do not use abrasive pads, solvents or glass cleaner unless the product instructions specifically allow it. Excess moisture near electrical parts can create a hazard.
