Why does the buzzer on my egg cooker not sound?

If the eggs seem ready but there is no buzzer or ready signal, first confirm that the appliance is heating and that the cycle has actually completed. On these models, the buzzer is part of the end-of-cycle indication, so a missing signal can be linked to power, timing or a cooking interruption.

1. Watch the indicator light and the heating cycle from the start. Expected result: the appliance powers up normally and continues heating until the water is used.
2. Check that the socket is live and the plug is secure. Expected result: the unit has a stable power supply. If the power is intermittent, stop using it.
3. Use the correct amount of water and a full cycle. Expected result: the buzzer sounds when the water has boiled away and the eggs are ready. Too little water can shorten the cycle.
4. Inspect the lid, tray and base for damage or heavy limescale. Expected result: the parts are clean and intact. Damage or heavy residue can affect the end signal.
5. If the appliance cooks the eggs but the buzzer still never sounds, stop using it and advise the consumer to contact the retailer or store where it was purchased.

Do not rely only on appearance to judge doneness if the ready signal is absent, and do not keep running the cooker continuously beyond a normal cycle.
