If the cooker appears to run but the eggs are still too soft, the water amount is usually the first thing to check. Use caution, because the lid, tray and steam vent can be hot during and after use.
Check the water amount
- Unplug the appliance and let it cool before adjusting anything.
- Use the measuring cup supplied with the product and only cold water.
- Try again with a different fill level suitable for soft, medium or hard eggs.
If the egg texture improves after adjusting the water, the issue was likely an incorrect fill level rather than a fault.
Check the eggs and loading method
- Pierce the blunt end of each egg if your model includes an egg piercer and you are using it as intended.
- Make sure the eggs are placed correctly in the holder or tray.
- Do not overload the cooker beyond its stated capacity.
If the cooker is loaded correctly and the water amount is right, but the eggs remain undercooked, repeat the test once more before assuming a fault.
When to stop using it
- Stop using the appliance if it overheats, stops unexpectedly or gives off an unusual smell.
- Stop using it if the tray or lid no longer fits properly.
- Stop using it if cooking results remain inconsistent after several careful checks.
If the issue remains unresolved, contact the retailer or store where it was purchased.
