Why are food or liquid leaking from my chopper?

Modified on Thu, 20 Aug at 2:57 PM

Leakage is usually caused by the bowl not being assembled correctly, too much food being added, or using the wrong type of ingredients for the bowl in use. Some models are intended for wet and dry use, while others are intended for dry chopping only, so matching the ingredients to the product type matters. fileciteturn0file8turn0file0

Diagnostic steps

  1. Unplug the appliance and remove the bowl carefully.
  2. Check the bowl, lid and seals for correct placement. Refit the parts so they sit flush and lock properly.
  3. Check the fill level. Do not go beyond the maximum content indicator where fitted.
  4. Check the ingredients you are using. If your model is intended for dry chopping only, do not use wet ingredients.
  5. Wipe the base dry before testing again. Keep the motor base and plug area away from moisture.

Expected result: The bowl should stay closed and ingredients should remain inside during normal operation.

When to stop: Stop if you see moisture near the power connection, the lid does not lock properly, or any part is cracked.

When to contact support: Contact support if leakage continues after correct assembly and a lower fill level.
