If food keeps sticking after cleaning, the issue is often residue in the blade area or parts that have not been cleaned in the right order. A hand blender should be cleaned promptly after use, while the residue is still soft.
- Unplug the appliance and separate the detachable parts first.
- Rinse or wash the parts intended for cleaning soon after use, then remove any food caught around the blade end or joint.
- Use a soft brush or cloth only on the areas that are safe to clean. Do not use abrasive pads on stainless steel or plastic surfaces.
- Dry every part completely before refitting. Leftover moisture can trap food and cause odour.
- If the housing itself is dirty, wipe it with a slightly damp cloth and dry it straight away. Keep liquid away from the motor unit.
The expected result is clean, dry parts that reassemble without residue around the joint. Stop using the hand blender if cleaning reveals cracks, sharp damage, leaking liquid or a part that no longer fits properly. Never immerse the motor unit, and do not open the appliance to clean inside it. If the issue remains unresolved or safe use is uncertain, contact the retailer or store where the product was purchased.
