DVRCAR25: Why is my battery draining so quickly?

Dashcam power source

The DVRCAR25 dashcam has an internal, rechargeable battery.
However, this battery is only intended for storing the video images on the MicroSD card when the dashcam loses its connection to a power outlet (e.g. in case of an accident).

During usage of the dashcam, it should always be connected to a power source via the supplied USB cable.
The dashcam can only operate for up to half an hour on the internal battery.
