Why is my pet feeder voice recording not playing back?

Modified on Tue, 25 Aug at 8:37 AM

If your recorded message does not play, the file may not have saved correctly, the app may not have finished sending it, or the speaker opening may be blocked. Start with the simplest checks and stop using the feeder if you hear distortion, smell overheating or notice any other electrical fault.

Check the recording and playback path

  1. Record a short new message in a quiet room.
  2. Save it fully before closing the app or moving away from the device.
  3. Run a manual feed or a scheduled feed to see whether the message plays then.
  4. Make sure the speaker opening is not covered by dust, packaging or food residue.

If the new recording plays back correctly, the previous message may have been incomplete or corrupted during setup. A clearer recording can also help if the original message was too quiet.

When to stop using the feeder

  1. Stop using the product if playback is distorted, very loud, or accompanied by a burning smell.
  2. Stop using it if the device behaves erratically during feeding.
  3. Contact the retailer or store where the feeder was purchased if the issue continues.
