Why does my egg cooker not fit the amount of eggs I expected?

If your cooker seems too small, check the model’s stated capacity before assuming it is faulty. These egg cookers are designed for a fixed number of eggs, and overloading them can affect cooking and steam flow. Stop using the appliance if forcing extra eggs has damaged the tray, lid or heating area.

1. Count the eggs and compare them with the capacity for your model. Expected result: the load stays within the stated limit, such as 6 or 7 eggs depending on the version.
2. Check that the eggs are arranged in one layer and not wedged against the lid. Expected result: the lid closes without pressure. If the lid rises or the tray bends, reduce the load immediately.
3. Use the measuring cup and cooking guide for the correct water quantity, then run a normal cycle. Expected result: the cooker works within its intended capacity and the eggs cook evenly.
4. Inspect the tray for cracking or deformation after previous overfilling. Expected result: the tray remains flat and stable. If it is warped, stop using the cooker.
5. If you still cannot use the cooker safely with the permitted number of eggs, contact the retailer or store where it was purchased for further advice.

Do not press down on the lid to make extra eggs fit, as this can cause steam leakage and poor cooking results.
