Why does my cordless heating blanket run out sooner than expected?

Modified on Mon, 24 Aug at 5:47 PM

If your cordless blanket stops earlier than you expected, it may simply be running at a higher heat setting or on a battery that has not been fully charged. The supplied product data shows a typical operating time of about 90 minutes, so a noticeably shorter run time is worth checking carefully.

  1. Make sure the power bank was fully charged before use. Expected result: a charged power bank should support the blanket for its normal run time. If charging is unreliable, continue to the next step.
  2. Check which heat setting you selected. Expected result: higher settings use more energy and can shorten run time. Lowering the setting should extend use time if the product is otherwise healthy.
  3. Look for a loose USB cable or connector while the blanket is in safe, flat use. Expected result: the connection should stay steady. If the connection cuts in and out, stop using the product.
  4. Consider whether the ambient temperature is low, as this can make the blanket seem to run down faster while it works harder to maintain warmth. Expected result: warm feel should still remain consistent for the intended period.
  5. If the blanket still stops far earlier than expected, or if the cable, power bank or controller becomes hot, stop using the product and contact the retailer or store where it was purchased.
