Why does my egg cooker leave white stains on the heating plate?

White marks on the heating plate are usually limescale or dried mineral residue, especially if the appliance is used often or the water is hard. Clean-up is usually straightforward, but only when the cooker is unplugged and fully cool.

Check whether the marks are residue

1. Unplug the appliance and let it cool completely.
2. Wipe the heating area with a soft damp cloth.

Descale carefully
