Why does my blender not work after cleaning?

If a blender stops working after cleaning, moisture in the wrong place is a common cause. Unplug it immediately and do not switch it on again until every part is completely dry. If any liquid has entered the base or controls, stop using the appliance.

1. Separate all removable parts and dry them thoroughly with a clean cloth, then leave them to air-dry fully. Expected result: no visible moisture should remain on the parts or contacts. If they are already dry, continue.
2. Check that the jar, lid, blade base or attachment has been reassembled correctly. Expected result: the blender should lock together as intended. If it does not, continue.
3. Inspect the base, switch area and power cord for moisture, cracks or detergent residue. Expected result: the electrical section should be completely dry and undamaged. If not, stop using it.
4. Plug the blender into a working socket only when everything is dry and properly assembled, then try a short test. Expected result: the appliance should start normally. If it still does not work, continue no further.

If the blender remains dead after drying and reassembly, or if safe use is uncertain, stop using it and contact the retailer or store where it was purchased.
