Why does my blender leak after I clean it?

If your blender starts leaking after cleaning, a part may not have been reassembled correctly, or moisture may be sitting around the blade seal or jar base. Stop using it if any liquid reaches the motor base, plug or cord.

1. Unplug the blender and take it apart carefully. Expected result: you can inspect each part without risk.
2. Check that every part is completely dry before reassembly. Expected result: no water should remain around the blade unit, seal or locking points.
3. Fit the blade assembly and lid again, making sure each part sits level. Expected result: the jar should close cleanly without a gap.
4. Fill the jar with a small amount of cold water and hold it over the sink for a brief check. Expected result: there should be no drips from the underside or the lid edge.
5. Inspect the seal, blade unit and jar rim for wear or distortion. Expected result: the sealing surfaces should be smooth and intact.

Stop using the blender if the leak returns, if the seal looks damaged or if the base has become wet. If the issue remains unresolved, contact the retailer or store where it was purchased. The BL-4431 has removable blades and a detachable lid, so cleaning and reassembly need to be exact to avoid leaks.
