Why does my sous vide keep beeping?

Repeated beeping usually means the appliance is trying to draw your attention to a setting, timer or safety condition. Treat it as a prompt to check the bath rather than something to ignore. If the unit sounds unusual, looks damaged or has been exposed to water in the wrong place, stop using it.

1. Check whether the timer has reached its end or is still counting down. The product has a digital timer and an audible signal, so a finished cycle may beep normally. The expected result is a timer that matches the cooking stage you intended.
2. Look at the water level. The appliance has boil-dry protection and a water level indicator, so low water can trigger a warning. The expected result is that the water sits within the safe range. If it is too low, stop heating and refill before continuing.
3. Make sure the appliance is standing securely and is not pressed against the container wall or another object. The expected result is clear circulation and no obstruction around the stick.
4. Confirm whether the beeping happens only when the target temperature is reached. The appliance has a ready signal, so a single alert at the right moment may be normal. If the beeping is constant or does not match the cooking stage, continue with caution.
5. If you cannot identify a normal reason for the sound, unplug the appliance and stop using it. Contact the retailer or store where it was purchased for advice.
