Indicator lights on a raclette usually show that power is available, but they do not always mean the cooking surface has reached temperature. If the appliance is not heating, or the light flickers with a burning smell, unplug it and stop using it.
- Switch the appliance off and on again once. If the light returns to normal, it may simply have been a temporary power issue.
- Check whether your model has an on/off switch or a thermostat. Some models only show power, while others also use a temperature control. If the control is set low, the light may stay on even while heating remains modest.
- Observe whether the surface gets warm after a few minutes. If the light is on but there is no heat at all, the appliance may not be operating correctly.
- Check the power cord and plug for looseness. A poor connection can make the light behave inconsistently. If the connection is unstable, stop using the product.
Stop using the raclette immediately if the light flashes with a crackling sound, the cord feels hot, or the unit cuts out and restarts on its own. If the issue remains unresolved, contact the retailer or store where it was purchased.
