Why does my chopper stop working during use?

Modified on Thu, 20 Aug at 2:57 PM

This usually happens if the bowl is overloaded, the ingredients are too hard, or the appliance has been used continuously for too long. Unplug the chopper before checking the contents or the blade area.

1. Reduce the load

  1. Remove some ingredients from the bowl.
  2. Cut larger pieces into smaller, even pieces before retrying.

Expected result: The motor should run more smoothly with a lighter load.

2. Check the ingredient type

  1. Use a smaller amount if the food is very dense or hard.
  2. Do not force the appliance to process items that feel unusually resistant.

Expected result: The chopper should resume normal chopping with easier ingredients.

3. Let it cool down

  1. Switch off the appliance and unplug it.
  2. Leave it to rest for a while before trying again.

Expected result: If the motor was warm, it may run again after cooling.

When to stop: Stop using the chopper if it repeatedly cuts out, becomes hot, emits a smell, or runs with an unusual sound.

When to contact support: Contact support if it still stops even with a small load and after a cooling period.
