Why is my pet feeder not dispensing food?

If the feeder runs but no food comes out, the cause is often a blocked food path, unsuitable kibble or a hopper that is not seated correctly. Start with simple checks and stop using the product if food is jammed hard enough to require force.

Check the food size and condition

1. Use dry food that matches the size range stated in the supplied instructions.
2. Break up large pieces, discard damp food and remove any crumbs or sticky pieces.
3. Refill the hopper with dry food only, then try a manual feed.

If food dispenses normally after changing the food, the issue was likely blockages or irregular kibble shape.

Check the bowl and outlet

1. Make sure the bowl, lid and food outlet area are fitted correctly.
2. Look for food packed around the opening and remove it gently.
3. Confirm the bowl is not overfilled or pressing against the outlet.

If the feeder works once the outlet is clear, keep the food dry and level to reduce repeat jams.

When to stop using it

1. Stop using the feeder if the motor strains, the unit rattles, or food remains trapped inside after gentle clearing.
2. Do not insert tools into the mechanism or force the moving parts.
3. If the problem continues, contact the retailer or store where the product was purchased.
