Why is my solar light remote control not working?

If the remote does not seem to do anything, the most likely causes are weak remote batteries, a poor signal path or the light not being in the right operating state. Only one of the RGB solar light models includes a remote control, so first make sure your product is the version that supports remote use.

1. Check that your model is the remote-controlled version. Expected result: if your lamp does not support a remote, it will not respond no matter how new the batteries are.
2. Replace the remote batteries if they are low or incorrectly fitted. Expected result: the remote should react more reliably after fresh batteries are installed.
3. Stand close to the light and try again, with a clear line of sight to the unit. Expected result: if the remote works only at close range, signal obstruction was the problem.
4. Switch the lamp off and on once, then retest the remote. Expected result: the light should accept commands again after a reset of normal operation.
5. Check for dirt or moisture on the front of the lamp. Expected result: the remote should work better when the receiving area is clean and dry.

Stop using the product if the remote or lamp is damaged, hot, wet inside or behaving unpredictably. If the remote still does not work after these checks, contact the retailer or store where it was purchased.
