Why does my blender jar crack or show damage?

If the blender jar is cracked, chipped or visibly damaged, stop using it at once. Even a small crack can worsen suddenly, cause leaking, or let the jar fail while in use.

1. Unplug the blender and empty the jar. Expected result: you can examine the damage safely.
2. Inspect the jar carefully in good light, especially around the base, handle, rim and locking area. Expected result: the jar should be free from cracks, chips and deep scratches.
3. Check whether the jar has been exposed to unsuitable use, such as impact, over-tightening or sudden temperature changes. Expected result: there should be no sign of stress or warping.
4. Examine the blade unit and lid for sharp edges or broken corners that could have caused the damage. Expected result: all parts should fit together cleanly.
5. Do not test the blender again if any crack is present. Expected result: the appliance should remain out of use until the damaged part is replaced through the retailer’s normal process, if available.

Stop using the blender immediately if the jar is damaged, and keep it unplugged. If the issue remains unresolved, contact the retailer or store where it was purchased. The BL-4431 uses a glass jug, so visible damage should always be taken seriously.
