Why does my Aerofryer need to cool down before I can use it again?

Some cooling after use is normal, especially on models with overheating protection and a fan run-on period. If the appliance will not restart until it has cooled, that is often a protective function, not a hidden fault. However, repeated shut-downs are not normal and should be checked.

  1. Switch the appliance off, unplug it and leave it to cool completely before attempting another cycle.
  2. Do not cover the unit or place it close to walls while it is cooling, as blocked airflow can slow the process.
  3. When cool, inspect the basket, tray and air openings for residue or obstruction.
  4. Restart with a smaller load and a modest temperature to see whether the appliance behaves normally.
  5. If the unit repeatedly needs a long cool-down or stops during cooking, stop using it and contact the retailer or store where it was purchased.

Expected result: the appliance should restart once fully cool and set correctly. A one-off cool-down delay is expected on some models, but repeated thermal cut-outs need further assessment.

Stop using the product if: it becomes very hot outside, gives off a smell of overheating, or shuts down every time you use it.
