If you notice a squealing sound or interference through the speakers of the indoor or outdoor units then this can be caused by feedback. This can occur when the outdoor and indoor units are too close together, move the units further apart and the issue should be resolved.
Also check that the cable between the two intercom parts is not too close to a mains cable along the cable run as electrical interference from the mains cable can cause problems too.
